Sister Clifford: Weeks #20/21 in Alabama: JUST KEEP GOIN'

Sister Clifford: Weeks #20/21 in Alabama: JUST KEEP GOIN'

First off, it has been FOREVER since I've sent out an email to update everyone, BUT life has been good! So much has happened and time is flying. It's crazy & so scary all at the same time!

Christmas was such an amazing day! It was our P-DAY, so all the missionaires in this area spent the day at a family's home that is in our ward! We opened stockings and ate the best breakfast EVER! Then we were able to talk to our families and it definitely made the day so special. It was so nice talking to them! I love them so much! It definitely was an amazing experience to be able to celebrate Christmas as a full-time representative of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful.

Also, HAPPY 2018!!!! We had to be in early on New Years Eve night, so nothing too exciting happened, but it was still a fun day! 2018 is going to be a year that I dedicate to serving the Lord. I can't wait to continue to learn and grow in new and different ways! I am so grateful for this experience and for the love I continue to feel from Heavenly Father. His love encourages me and keeps me going!
Time is seriously going so fast lately, it has been CRAZY!!! I have been really reflecting on a scripture lately and it's Alma 7:23:
23 And now I would that ye should be ahumble, and be bsubmissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive.

I love this scripture so much. Sometimes it is so hard to be patient and go out of our comfort zones, BUT the Lord provides. I know it. As long as we do as He asks, He will bless us and all He asks in return is to thank Him. This is something I have to always remind myself as a a missionary. Trust Him, and keep going.

This week we were able to work hard and accomplish a lot! This definitely was a very challenging week. BUT looking back, I am so grateful for all that I was able to learn. When times are hard, I've learned to just jeep working, no matter what. This week, I was able to go on an exchange with the amazing STL'S and I was with Sister Winter and wow, she is amazing!!!! It was so fun to be with her and learn from her. She is an incredible missionary who loves this work. That is a great thing about a mission! You are able to learn so much from other missionaries and I am grateful for that :) We were also able to have amazing lessons with our investigator Lee and their investigator Chuck. We actually are going to start teaching Chuck and they are going to start teaching Lee because of mission area boundaries, BUT it was great to have lessons withg both of them and to be able to go with Sister Winter. We were also able to do some Family History with Chuck which was a really cool experience. Chuck and Lee are amazing people! I am so sad I won't be meeting with Lee anymore. It has been such a priviledge to be able to teach her while I've been serving in this area. She has an amazing testimony of the Book of Mormon and has so much faith. I am proud of her. She's incredible!

We have made a goal to find and teach as many people as we can and we have had lots of success lately. We have met lots of amazing people, who are very interested in the message we have to share. I love Prattville so much, and the people I am serving here!
I am grateful for challenging weeks. They push me to keep going, be stronger and turn to the Lord. It's hard, but sometimes we just have to remind ourselves that we can DO HARD THINGS!!! We just have to keep movin' forward.

I love you all & I love Alabama. Roll Tide forever ;)
I hope everyone has a happy and blessed week.
all my love,
sister clifford
