Sister Clifford: Week #27 in Alabama: "RAIN RAIN GO AWAY"

Sister Clifford: Week #27 in Alabama: "RAIN RAIN GO AWAY"
HI EVERYONE!!!

Comin' to you live from good ol' Columbiana, Alabama! Such a good place! This week was crazy! First off, we were able to get so much done at the courthouse this week. We love being apart of the digitizing project and it has been a really special and unique experience. FAMILY HISTORY IS THE BOMB!!! It has been so cool helping others, especially non-members, with their family history work. They get so excited to work on it and I have been able to learn SO MUCH. There are definitely miracles that come from doing family history work.

SO this week definitely had some funny experiences! SO it rained a lot this week and when you are in a walking area, and only have your feet to get around, it definitely makes for an exciting time ;) Sister Bond and I did a lot of walking in the rain this week and let's just say we were drenched!!! We were just dyin' laughing the whole time! The streets were all flooded and there we were walking and loving life! You should've seen all the faces people gave us. They definitely thought we were insane!

Anyways, this week we had a super awesome miracle occur. So the sister missionaries that are serving near Birmingham came to help at the courthouse this week and they told us that they just had received a media referral, but it was for somebody in our area and they were confused why it was sent to them. So they gave us all the information and we were struggling to even find where it was. It wasn't coming up on our GPS at all and it just kept saying that it didn't exist. BUT finally, we were able to locate where it was and it turns out they live right next to us to the courthouse where we work!!! So we are going back to meet with them this week and we are very excited about it :) ALSO, another amazing miracle happened yesterday. There is the cutest young woman in this ward and she brought her non-member friend to church to help her out with a musical number in sacrament! Anyways, it was the most perfect sacrament meeting too! All the talks were all about the Book of Mormon and how it can be a blessing to our lives if we take time to read it each day. It was such a powerful meeting. Afterwards, the cute non-member asked us for a copy of the Book of Mormon. We are planning on checking back in with her this week and talking with her more about the blessing that the Book of Mormon can be to her. Such a cool experience. There was also another investigator that came to church yesterday, after not coming for awhile. He shared a thought during Sunday School that really stuck out to me and I felt the spirit. He said, "Sometimes I just have to start the day with a little prayer and then God will always be with me and I know I will be alright after that." Such a powerful statement that I know is so true! Prayer si real and can bless our lives.

Also, we had Zone Conference this past Wednesday and it was such a good day. I always love going to Zone Conference and learning how the Lord needs us to continue to improve as missionaries. This is HIS work and He trusts us to do our best and give it our all. It was also amazing hearing all about the technology changes that are coming to our mission! It is crazy that this mission is getting smartphones! We are super excited and I know it will continue to further the Lord's work.

We are excited for this new week and we have made a goal this week to continue to just FIND. That is our goal. Work our hardest to find those individuals ready to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A big lesson I learned this week is just to choose to be happy, have a positive attitude, do your best and things will work out in the end! I really do love this work. I love my Savior. I am grateful for the Love that He shows me every day. I love this Gospel and the happiness it brings to me.

Luke 12:32
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

I love you all!!! Have an incredible week! Be happy ;)
