Sister Clifford: Week #23 in Alabama: "GLUTEN FREE CHICK-FIL-A=BLESINGS"
Hi everyone!!!

First off, I found out this week that Chick-Fil-A serves gluten free sandwhich buns now, so let's just say I was one happy camper ;) BEST NEWS EVER. Also, ALABAMA WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. ROLL TIDE FOREVER ;) Alabama was going crazzzyyy that day! Football is definitely a religion here. Not kidding..... not even a little bit.

Anyways, this has been a great week! Yesterday was a holiday, so our P-day was changed to today! So many amazing miracles occured this week. It has been a crzy busy week! This transfer has flown by. No clue where the time has gone, but I am so grateful for this transfer. I have learned SO MUCH and have realized that Heavenly Father knows our needs and is always there for you! He knows we can do hard things & I am grateful for that!

So we had an amazing lesson with our investigator Chuch this week. I wish everyone in the world could meet Chuck. He is one of a kind and I sure do live him tons!!! This week we talked about temples and family history with him. It was such an amzing experience & the spirit was SO STRONG. He understood everything so well. Sometimes he gets really down on himself because the only thing stopping him from baptism is that he needs to quit smoking, BUT we were able to testify to him that God knows his heart and his desires and if he sets his heart on a date, the Lord will provide. He texted us after we met with him and goes, "Thank you for all the blessings. Love you both lots". I LOVE CHUCK SO MUCH. We also had a church broadcast on Sunday and it was such a miracle! Chuck came and sat by us and they talked all about TEMPLES & FAMILY HISTORY!! Right after we had talked about it with him. It was a powerful meeting and he LOVED it.

Sister Wilkinson and I were able to meet so many amazing people this week. The Lord really prepares people. We met a lady named Krysten last night, who is a young mom of 3. She is super interested in the Gospel and belives it is what her family needs. She told us that her fmaily is dealing with a lot right now, but she says she see's a different light in us. She is so sweet and we are so excited to keep meeting with her!

We took 2 trips to Hoover this week to go to some doctor appts., which is always exciting ;) We also had a really cool experience happen to us yesterday on our way back home from the doctor's. We stopped to grab some lunch, and as we are waiting for our food, a man stopped us and handed us $20 and thanked us for our service to the Lord. I LOVE THE SOUTH. The people are amazing!!!! Uh I am so lucky to be serving here. BAMA=best place on earth.

Another incredible miracle that happened this week:
So we had tracted a neighborhood of houses a few days before, and we got a feeling that we needed to go back and knock on this door. We had knocked on that door before and no one was home, except for the owner's brother. He was super awesome though and told us that his brother wasn't home, but that he would be interested in our message and asked if we could come back. SO we decided to go back a few nights ago and it was the most amazing experience. His brother opened the door and immediately asked if we wanted to come in and meet his wife and the rest of their family. They were the sweetest people y'all. They asked us so many questions about the church and our purpose as missionaries. We were able to share a message about the Book of Momron with them and they all asked for copies. They told us that they have been Baptists their whole lives, but were open to reading the Book of Mormon. They thanked us for our service and offered to feed us dinner. The southern people are definitely the kindest and most loving people I have ever met.

Well, BAMA is about to get super cold the next couple of days and there is a storm approaching so that's alwasy fun ;) there is another high possibility of snow too, which is CRAZY! It never snows here and this would be the 2nd time this winter. When it snows, Alabama literally shuts down and no one has any clue what to do. They just buy all the bread and milk in the grocery stores and stay in all day. It kills me.

We are also super excited for this week! So many awesome things happening within our mission. We cannot wait!

LIFE IS GOOD. Alabama is the place ;) I learn so much every single day that I am here. We can do hard things!!! I know it. Thank you for all the love and support! I LOVE YOU ALL TONS!
Have a blessed and happy week ;)

All my love from Bama,
Sister Clifford
