Sister Clifford: Week #22 in Alabama "ROLL TIDE Y'ALL"

Sister Clifford: Week #22 in Alabama "ROLL TIDE Y'ALL"
HI EVERYONE!!!

   Wow, what a week!

As a missionary, some weeks are definitely much harder than others. BUT those weeks are filled with so much growth and time to reflect and ponder. They are also filled with time to reflect on all our blessings and all that our Heavenly Father has given us. A big lesson I learned this week is that sometimes things don't always go the way we want them to, and GUESS WHAT! That is okay!!! All we have to do is just keep moving & TRUST that everything will always work out. When we are on the Lord's team, we will succeed!

We received some pretty sad news this week. A family we have been teaching for awhile now, who were preparing for baptism this Saturday, decided to postpone their baptism and they told us they won't be at church for a couple of weeks. We were HEARTBROKEN. We love this family so much! However, instead of look down on the situation, we chose to keep moving and look up! We know that Heavenly Father loves this family so much, and He wants what is best for them! We are going to meet with them again this week which we are excited about! We know we just have to trust the Lord's timing.

We were able to see a lot of success this week, which was amazing! Our new investigator Chuck (who was being taught by the Millbrook sisters since August) came with us to church yesterday and HE IS AMAZING Y'ALL! Such a miracle. I wish everyone could have the opportunity to meet Chuck. He is such a light and has the strongest testimony of God. He shared with us that he was nervous to go to a separate ward (he had been attending church in Millbrook since August), BUT he loved it & we were so grateful to have him there with us. He has a date to be baptized at the end of this month, and we are so excited for him! CHUCK=BEST PERSON EVER. Also, my cute companion and I cooked him cookies this week, which was so fun ;)

We also did a lot of tracting this week and met a lot of amazing people! Lot's of people interested in our message. Alabama seriously has the kindest people. Southern hospitality is a REAL THING... I love it so much! ;)

We also had zone activity this morning which was super fun! We went to Montgomery and explored all over downtown! We were able to visit the Capitol too, which was such a fun experience! I LOVE ALABAMA SO MUCH.
Well, this week went by in about 1 minute, BUT I am so grateful for it. For everything I learned and the love I felt from Heavenly Father. He is so amazing. A scripture I have been reflecting on a lot this week is ALMA 26:12:

12 Yea, I know that I am anothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will bnot boast of myself, but I will cboast of my God, for in his dstrength I can do all ethings; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we (I, SISTER CLIFFORD) have wrought in this land (ALABAMA), for which I will praise his name forever.

It is 100% true. With His strength, we can all do it. I love Him. Everyday I am grateful for Him. I love Alabama and I am grateful to be here. I love being a missionary!

I love you all SO MUCH!!! Have a blessed week ;)
XOXOXO
