Sister Clifford: Week #15 in ALABAMA "4 MONTHS!!!"

Sister Clifford: Week #15 in ALABAMA "4 MONTHS!!!"
HI FRIENDS & FAM!
I hope everyone is doing great! First off, I hit four months yesterday and WOW that is so crazy! Time is really starting to fly by.. it's scary! This week I was sick and that is definitely no fun at all. BUT, I still went out and gave it my all! Being sick on a mission.. NEVER FUN! There was one day that I lost my voice and it was so tough during lessons! I tried my best though and gave it all I had!
This week was amazing and we had lots of success! We contacted a lot of referrals which is always really fun! So many people interested in this Gospel and curious to learn more. It's amazing. We have the sweetest new investigator named Lori and she is the best! We taught her a lesson this week and challenged her to read the Book of Mormon. It's really sad because she is scared to go to church for some issues that have happened to her in the past.. BUT she is trying to find a church where she belongs. We are going to visit her again this week and we are excited!
Also, Megan is doing great! She has been reading the Book of Mormon a lot lately and wants to start new and get away from her crazy husband. She was planning on coming to church yesterday, BUT sadly had something come up :( but we are planning on this Sunday! She is an incredible example of faith. Her life is HARD. So hard. She takes care of 2 little kids, pretty much all by herself. It is the cutest thing ever.. every time we pull up to her house she always goes, "my ladies are here to read with me." UH SHE IS SO CUTE! I love her!
Also, Prattville, Alabama is getting so cute for the holidays! Sister Oscarson and I have been dying! They put up a huge tree downtown, lights everywhere and a nativity! It is so pretty! I love this place!
This past Saturday was SO FUN! We drove down to Montgomery with the Millbrook Sisters to set up a huge nativity event that they are having at the church building down there! It was SO CHRISTMAS I was freaking out! The gym was covered in lights! It was honestly INCREDIBLE. It was such a fun day!
    Funny story of the week:
Sister Oscarson and I were sitting in our living room talking the other night and all of a sudden the elders knock on our door and throw a box with A DEAD SQUIRREL in it into our house. (WHAT) I attached a beautiful photo so that everyone could see this moment! I screamed.. it was a crazy experience to say the least!
Today was a super fun P-day! Our district went to a bamboo forest and explored and then went to lunch after at a cajun place! It was so good! Southern food is definitely a serious treat!
I always love Thanksgiving time! It is a time for us all to really sit back and reflect on everything that we are blessed with and all things that we are grateful for. I definitely have a different perspective during this time of year as a missionary. I am so grateful for so many things. I am grateful for this Gospel and the peace and joy it has brought to me. I am grateful to be a missionary serving my Heavenly Father at this time. What a privilege it is to be serving Him every single day. He has blessed and provided me with so much. I am grateful for Alabama and the people here. I always say this, but they are INCREDIBLE people! They are all so full of life and have so much faith. They love God and Jesus Christ. My heart is definitely so full during this time of year.. in so many ways! I love my Heavenly Father. I would encourage all of you reading this to really think about all that you are grateful for this week and then pray and thank Heavenly Father for all that you have been given. You will truly be able to see how much He has given all of us.
Doctrine & Covenants 59:7
7 Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! I really do love you all and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Remember to be happy always!!!
Much love always,
xoxoxo
