Skylar Clifford - Week #2 - August 1st, 2017 - PROVO MTC
Hi everyone!!!
I am doing so well in the MTC! this place is the best. I hope
everyone is doing awesome! Another amazing week at the MTC. Ilove this place so much. I am so happy here! It's crazy that a week
from today, next Tuesday, I will be flying to Alabama. I'm so excited!
We leave the MTC at 3:30 AM (yes, so early) and then we fly from Salt
Lake to Georgia where we have a layover and then to BAMA!!! Ah can't
wait!
This week was so awesome. So many amazing experiences! Sister
Southwick and I are loving every minute and we are so happy we are
companions. We never want to leave each other and we are so sad we
won't be together anymore when we get to Alabama!
First of all, shoutout to my mama and everyone else that has sent
packages and letters! I LOVE THEM and they have made me so happy!
THANK YOU!!!
Also, Sister Southwick and I are loving our calling as online
coordinators! We meet all the new missionaries and show them how to
share the Gospel via technology and their iPads. It's a really great
calling and we've been able to meet so many awesome missionaries
through it.
On Friday, Sister Southwick and I were able to help with the tours
of the new MTC and that was an amazing experience. It was so amazing
to see and meet so many different people. It was such a fun day! Also,
funny story. Sister Southwick and I were walking to class a couple
nights ago and a little boy was walking through one of the tours when
he stopped and stared right at us. We looked at him and smiled and
waved and he all of the sudden turned around and said " WOW I LOVE
THIS PLACE!!". We both just started laughing so hard! It was the best.
It's crazy that in one short week I will be in Alabama! #Rolltide
I'm so excited to serve the people there. I have so much love for them
already. I am ready to work hard and give it my all. The church is
true everybody and I love it!!! Missionary work is the best and I'm so
grateful to be apart of it. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and
wants what's best for us. I know that we will experience trials and
difficult times throughout our lives, but with Him you can achieve
anything. Seek Him. 3 Nephi 5:13 Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word
among his people, that they might have everlasting life.

It's an amazing experience being able to teach people about the Gospel
of Jesus Christ and to be able to see how it is changing their lives.
This Gospel is amazing and I know Heavenly Father loves all of us so
much. He will bless your life and He wants all of us to be happy. I'm
grateful for that knowledge every day. Also, we were teaching an
investigator on Saturday about families and how her family can
live together forever. The spirit was so strong. We had just
finished and we were walking down the stairs when we saw PRESIDENT
EYRING just sitting on the couch in front us with his family. It was
the most amazing experience. Sister Southwick and I just looked at
each other and started crying! An apostle of God sitting in the same
room as us. We just cried because you couldn't help but feel the spirit. I know
that God calls prophets and apostles to lead us and guide us and I'm
so grateful for them and their examples. My heart is still pounding
and I seriously just cried. I wish everyone could experience how both my companion and I felt. We are missionaries, representing our Savior Jesus Christ and the feelings and experiences we get to have everyday is indescribable. It is the BEST. I immediately felt the love that Heavenly Father has for him. It was an experience that both of us will never forget!

District together and have a meeting where we all share our back
stories of why we are here on missions and why we all decided to

Our classes this week were so awesome and I love our teachers so
much! I've learned so many things from them and their examples. We
have the best teachers!!! I will miss them so much! Also, the
missionaries that are here in the MTC are so incredible and I've made so
