Sister Clifford: Week #6 in Alabama "ALL ABOARD THE STRUGGLE BUS"

Sister Clifford: Week #6 in Alabama "ALL ABOARD THE STRUGGLE BUS"
HI FAMILY & FRIENDS!!! I hope everyone is doing awesome and is happy! Well, this week Sister Oscarson and I referred to as "a little bit of a struggle". BUT that is okay! We made it through, we worked hard and we are still happier than ever! When you look back on a slow week though, you really are able to see the blessings that actually happened throughout it!
We did this amazing thing this week, where each morning we had companion prayer together and prayed to see a miracle throughout the day. At the end of the night, we would talk about the many miracles we saw throughout the day. It was the coolest and we are going to do it everyday! On the days that were hard and slow this week, when all of our appointments would fall through, we would just sit and talk about the blessings we still were able to see throughout the day. Whether it was someone stopping to say hi to us or offering us water or dinner, we were able to see how much we are blessed as missionaries and how much Heavenly Father is watching out for us and protecting us. It has been such an awesome week truly being able to see the miracles and blessings that have come from Heavenly Father. When life gets tough, LOOK UP. He is there and is helping you through those hard and challenging days.
A cool experience that happened this week was we were out in a neighborhood one night this week, knocking on doors, when we got this strong impression that we needed to knock this one particular street. The very first house we knocked on a man answered the door with no shirt on of course (typical Alabama) and he asked us what we were doing. We explained to him that we were missionaries out sharing messages with people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it has been restored to the earth today. We then told him that this message would make him so happy and asked if he wanted to hear. He then looked at us and said "OKAY, let's discuss the bible. I'll go get a shirt." Sister Oscarson and I immediately looked at each other and both said "OH NO, BUCKLE UP." After a few minutes, he came out and said okay talk to me about your church. I immediately felt a prompting to talk to him about families and how he can be with his family forever through this Gospel. He then brought up his children and how all of them were looking for a church. He offered to read the Book of Mormon and told us to come back. It was the coolest experience!!! At first, we thought it was pointless to talk to him and just thought he was going to bible bash with us. BUT we were proved wrong and he accepted our message and wants to learn more. It really was a miracle!
Also, our investigator Megan is doing so awesome!!! We love her and we love teaching her. We were able to teach her more this week and she made us dinner which was really fun! She is the BEST. Everyone in Alabama is the best I just love em so much.
I've been studying a lot on faith and how even if we act on a small part of faith, we can be blessed and will feel Heavenly Father's love for us. Faith is so important and when we act on it, our testimony grows in so many ways. ALMA 32 is amazing in the Book of Mormon!!! It talks so much about faith and why it's important.
26 Now, as I said concerning faith—that it was not a perfect knowledge—even so it is with my words. Ye cannot know of their surety at first, unto perfection, any more than faith is a perfect knowledge.

27 But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.

28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.

29 Now behold, would not this increase your faith? I say unto you, Yea; nevertheless it hath not grown up to a perfect knowledge.

We must all act on our faith in order to increase our knowledge of the Gospel!

My heart is so full as I continue to serve my Father in Heaven every day. This work truly is amazing. I hope everyone can pray this week to start seeing those miracles happen every day in their lives too. I am happy and I LOVE BAMA!! Roll Tide forever. I am so grateful for all the prayers and support, keep it up. I feel them everyday and I am so so grateful for it. Life is good.

Hope everyone has a great week! Remember who you are and what ya stand for ;)
