Sister Clifford WEEK #10 IN ALABAMA: "A PERFECT Example of Patience"

Sister Clifford WEEK #10 IN ALABAMA: "A PERFECT Example of Patience"
Hi Family & Friends!!! How is everyone doing? I miss you all and pray for you all daily! I wish all of you could experience the South. It is Heaven. The people are incredible and I am so grateful I am able to serve them for 18 months.
Some weeks as a missionary are definitely harder than others. BUT there are always miracles and blessings to be seen among the hard and difficult days. I am forever grateful for the love I feel from my Father in Heaven DAILY.
This week, I was studying a lot about our Savior, Jesus Christ and HIS life. There are so many things that He taught us. Sometimes in life, Patience is a hard trial. We want everything to be fixed or things to come easy and have them come right away. Most times, that isn't always the case. We must be patient in order to really truly see the good that is going to come out of it. Our Savior really is the ultimate example of sacrifice. During the trials he faced in life, he turned to Heavenly Father and was able to say, "Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" (Matthew 26:39). In spite of what we really want in life, we must be willing to accept Heavenly Father's will for us and endure to the end. Since being a missionary, I have really truly been able to realize that Jesus Christ can comfort us and reassure us of good things to come. I know that all of us can be blessed as we do our best to face the expected and unexpected things that life throws our way and we can turn to our loving Heavenly Father and say, just as the Savior once did, "nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt". I really have learned that patience is a process, BUT there is always something to be learned as we "count it all joy" and endure. I know that if we all do our best to be patient, and rely on Him, we can all one day, just as it says in James 1:4: "Become PERFECT and entire, wanting nothing".
The Southern people are #1 and I have learned so much through them They are all so loving and it is a blessing to be able to serve them. This week was all about service. Sister Oscarson and I were able to help so many people and felt so much HAPPINESS through the process. We also painted a house YES A HOUSE. It was so fun! Tip: never hire us for a painting job. k thanks. ANYWAYS, service is an incredible opportunity to bring joy to others and I would invite you all to find a way you can serve someone this week! I promise it will bring more happiness into your life! Also, we had a meeting this past Friday in Montgomery, Alabama and we were able to visit the Capitol building, which was so cool!!! We had so much fun!
Well, life is GOOD. Missionary work is truly a blessing. The church is true. I am grateful for all the support and prayers and I really do feel them. They keep me goin!!! These 3 months have been a challenge, BUT as I look back, it is so rewarding. I have the best job in the world. Teaching people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me TRUE JOY. I am forever grateful.
Email me and update me how you are doing! I love hearing from you!!
I hope everyone is happy! Make good choices and have a great weeekkk ;)
love you all!
D&C 31:9-13
9 Be patient in afflictions, revile not against those that revile. Govern your house in meekness, and be steadfast.

10 Behold, I say unto you that you shall be a physician unto the church, but not unto the world, for they will not receive you.

11 Go your way whithersoever I will, and it shall be given you by the Comforter what you shall do and whither you shall go.

12 Pray always, lest you enter into temptation and lose your reward.

13 Be faithful unto the end, and lo, I am with you. These words are not of man nor of men, but of me, even Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, by the will of the Father. Amen.
